2013 7-30 interview with singer Rita Lim by Stephen Jacobs, JacobsLadderShow.com. Born in Los Angeles, Rita spent her youth in many countries in Asia, and now lives and performs in Las Vegas. Rita has vast knowledge of American Jazz Singers and Standards, as well as singing Pop music, R&B, Smooth Jazz and Country. "Everything except Hard Rock", she says with a laugh. Rita’s voice is rich, warm and throaty, working especially well with torchy ballads, bossanova and in her album with 2 original songs by Dave Williams on Cry Anymore and By my Side. In Las Vegas she honed her talent, singing for so many years with all top musicians. Whether she is singing smooth jazz or the classics, Rita has a style all her own. The musicians she has picked for this project are world class musicians with stellar resumes. In November 2012 Rita sang backup for Barbra Streisand at the MGM GRAND in Las Vegas with many of Las Vegas singers, lead by Michelle Johnson.
