2-24-15 Interview with Dondino by Stephen Jacobs. Dondino has performed over 2700 times in showrooms and benefits throughout Nevada, Branson Missouri and the world. Dondino is in the “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” museum in Branson MO as the “Most Seen Entertainer”. Dondino had a eleven year run at the Four Queens in downtown Las Vegas, starting in the 80's before moving to Branson in 1993.
Born in Italy and raised in Brooklyn NY, he first set foot on stage at the age of 13. He traveled the world performing in concerts and nightclub acts with his tightly choreographed, lush orchestrated shows mixed original work with old standards, into a dazzling display of showmanship. Dondino’s career has been shaped by his involvement in humanitarian and civic responsibility. He has been featured with many charity benefits including MDA, Variety, Special Olympics, St Jude’s Ranch for Children and his own foundation “Read To Me” (www.readtomefoundation.org). He and his wife, Donna Grummelt, with their nonprofit, publish bilingual children books. In 2014, Dondino wrote a new country song, “Just Like That”, based on Las Vegas showgirl, Cindy Doumani. Dondino has been inducted in the Las Vegas Entertainers Hall of Fame. |
